Isle of Wight Academy's Upper School curriculum offers students a rigorours academic program designed to prepare a student for college, while providing individualized attention from a caring and experienced faculty that ensures each student receives the individual attention that he or she needs.
There are six periods in the day, with several fine and performing arts courses offered on an elective basis before and after the six-period school day ends. IWA offers numerous AP and dual credit classes; in fact, an IWA graduate may earn approximately 40 college credits before leaving the Academy. A break period and lunch period offer students breaks throughout the day.
At IWA, Upper School students participate in a student wide meeting on Mondays of every week where events are discussed and announcements are made. Assemblies are held once a month, with a special program being offered that help greatly enrich the student life at IWA. Clubs and groups routinely meet after school as well.
